Details of Requirement #1: The user will choose a type of search (ingredient, dish, or genre of food) and then enter the specifics of what they want to eat. Optionally, they can specify a time of day and a price range. A list of matching menu offerings and restaurants will be displayed

Details for requirement #2: As restaurants change their menus or learn more about the searching habits of their clientele, they will need to update the menu information for their restaurant. This will ensure that a potential customer doesn't show up looking for something that is no longer served at the restaurant.

Details of Requirement #3: Access to the help system should be easily accessible from all pages, and should contain step-by-step examples and patterns that a new user can follow to find what they want. The user should be able to operate the application with the help visible so that they don't have to navigate back and forth.

Requirement #4

Details for Requirement #4: Customers have the option of creating their own personalized area of JWYO, where they can save and recall search results and lists that they've made. This enables JWYO management to find out a little more about their clients, and allows the clients to make JWYO work for them. Customers will need to first create a user name and password for the site, and once they are logged in they should be able to save any search they do with the click of a button.

Details for Requirement #5: When search results are listed, each of the different fields can be selected as the basis for a sort. The user can view information on a particular dish or restaurant mentioned, which would contain a summary page describing the relevant information. For a restaurant, that would include location, ambience, other major dishes served, open hours, and anything else they would like guests to know (for instance, information about bookings) For a menu item, relevant information would be other major ingredients, and a list of restaurants that serve that type of food.
Other requirements and specifications:
- The web site should have a database system with the following information for each restaurant on the database:
- Name of the restaurant
- Country
- City or Town
- Address
- Zip code
- Date of last update of information
- Name of the restaurant representative user
- Restaurant representative contact information.
- Each restaurant on the database should include the following items.
- Restaurant description
- Links to pictures of the restaurant
- Unlimited space for menu items and their price.
- Hours of attention
- Reviews from registered user
- Registered users should provide at least the following items
- Name
- Last name
- Login name
- Password
- Email address
- Zip code
- Written reviews
- The information about restaurants and / or user reviews should be available on line only after reviewed and authorized by staff.
- The web site should provide a user login and registration system.
- Registered users and non registered users should have access to the following information only through a search engine:
- Detailed restaurant location
- Menu items
- Prices
- Registered users have the privilege of posting reviews.
- The web site should have a welcome page that introduces the functionality of the whole system.
- The web site should have a search engine that allows to display information in the order specified by the user. At least it should allow to sort restaurants by distance from the zip code of the user and also by the average price of a meal.
- The web site should have a zip code location system that allows to calculate the user location, or at least it should have access to an Internet Server that provides this information.
- The web site should provide access to an online navigation service.
