Akbar is a single dad who lives in Vancouver, Canada. He works at a coal factory. Akbar works 8 hours a day, five days a week. His job is very physical and demands a lot of energy from him. He has two young children, Asghar in grade 2 and Ebrahim in grade 1. As a single parent, Akbar needs to be as available as possible for the kids and help them in their school work and provide them with good parenting. His job doesn’t require him to have any basic computer skills; therefore, he is not comfortable using computers for anything.

Hassan is a first year international student enrolled as a full time student at the University of Victoria.  He has just moved out from his parents’ house and now lives on his own. He has no cooking skills since his mother used to always prepare his meals. Hassan, being a teenager in 21st century, knows all about computers and is fairly comfortable using them. Hassan has a very social life and likes to spend time with friends.
