CSC421 Intro to AI - Unit 02 -
Solving Problems by searching
The main lesson of thirty-five years of AI research is that the hard
problems are easy and the easy problems are hard. The mental abilities
of a four-year-old that we take for granted - recognizing a face,
lifting a pencil, walking across the room, answering a question - in
fact solve some of the hardest engineering problems every
conceived... As the new generation of intelligent devices appears,
it will be the stock analysts and petrochemical engineers and
parole board members who are in danger of being replaced
by machines. The gardeners, receptionists, and cooks are secure
in their jobs for decades to come.

Thinking about graduate school
- Read AIMA Chapter 3
- Do or at least think about exercises 3.3, 3.6, 3.9, 3.11, 3.13
- Pick a non-standard problem and formulate a corresponding state
space. Implement the 3 basic search algorithms (BFS, DFS, IDS) and
compare them for that particular problem.

Collection of short stories by a master of science fiction.
Bladerunner is inspired by one of the stories. Even though
not directly related to AI definitely worth reading.
