International Workshop on Performance aspects of MPLS based Virtual Networks

Finally, the much anticipated network convergence may be happening with many carriers embracing the Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) based transport technologies. Both Layer 2 and Layer 3 Virtual Private Network Services are defined at IETF using MPLS and other tunneling technologies as transport. While Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) emulates a bridged Layer 2 Ethernet LAN across a service provider’s MPLS core network, Virtual Private Networks based on MPLS provide Layer 3 connectivity. This workshop focuses on performance aspects of such overlay networks over MPLS core networks. Papers will be sought covering aspects such as

Submission Guidelines
Submitted manuscripts may not exceed 20 double-spaced pages using 11-point font size on 8.5×11 inch pages, including figures and tables. Authors need to make sure that the electronically submitted files are formatted for 8.5×11 inch paper. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. Submissions will be judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, significance, and quality of presentation. Authors are requested to submit their papers (in PDF format), contact address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address (in text format) to the program chair by e-mail (mplsvpn@cs.uvic.ca) by November 20, 2004.
